July 2007

Hello everyone,

Fundraising Evening

The fundraising evening which was to be held in Ellon on Wednesday 15th August @ The New Inn has been postponed until September. Further details will be posted on this website once available.

A big thankyou to Monica Stewart and James Falconer for the lovely service at the Trinity Cemetery, as always it was a lovely but quite emotional service.

If any bereaved fathers feel that they might want to attend a male only meeting, please let us know and we would try to see if this could be arranged, as many fathers find it hard to talk and may feel more comfortable talking to other bereaved dads.

The AGM will be held at the main Sept. meeting @ Emilys, there will be a few SMALL jobs for anyone willing to give a little bit of help. Any help with these tasks would be great.

Memory Pockets

Anyone willing to sew up some memory pockets please let me know. We really need to prepare as many as possible to have some sort of stock to supply the Rubislaw ward with when needed. Thank you very much to Fiona's mum for sewing so many.

Donations

Aberdeen SANDS would like to say a BIG thank you to Acergy (scs social club) who raised a fantastic £2500, this was kindly donated by work colleagues of Francoise Genolini.

Also a BIG thankyou to Bank of Scotland for their kind donation of £112.09, which was raised by staff having social evenings ie bowling and quiz nights.

A donation of £30 was kindly giving by CRUSE bereavement care Scotland which was by way of appreciation for the talk in Aberdeen that some of the SANDS girls did.

Michelle Milne very kindly donated a cheque for £132 in memory of her and Ian's precious baby.

A £5 donation was kindly received by Dorothy Stott.

Rhona and Steven Gerrard kindly sent a donation of £90 in memory of their precious boys Lewis and Keiran lovingly remembered.

Last but not least the running sisters of Aberdeen kindly donated £120 which was to buy baby shawls for use in Rubislaw ward, a very kind thought.

A huge thank you to you all.

If anyone's donation details don't appear on the newsletter , please let us know as we would hate to miss anyone out as they are all very greatly appreciated and make such a huge difference .
